Introducing Pathology Services at TDL

We hope we will be able to help you with your pathology.

To be able to process your sample efficiently it is important for us to a clear instruction outlining the patient details and tests that you would like us to process for you.

 

It is essential for us to have a Request form completed by a Doctor for each patient.

You will need to complete:

  • Your details and to where you would like the Results sent
  • Patient Details – please provide full name, date of birth, gender
  • Tests required
  • Invoicing instruction – do we invoice you or your patient?

 

Please complete this Request Form and make sure it is enclosed with the samples taken at your practice. Label the samples carefully with your patient’s full name, and date of birth.  Please ensure that samples posing a particular risk of infection  are double bagged and the request form is labelled 'HIGH RISK'.

 

 

Sending Samples to The Doctors Laboratory

  • By post – if you require postal packaging, please call 020 7307 7373
  • By courier (within M25) – please call with your instruction 020 7307 7373.

Alternatively your patients are always welcome to come to Patient Reception at 55 Wimpole Street for samples to be taken.

 

Wherever possible we will store samples for a short period after the results are issued.

There are occasions when additional tests are needed. Please contact the laboratory 020 7307 7373 in the first instance as it may be possible for further testing to be undertaken from the stored sample.
